Why wont villagers follow me in the game Fable The Lost Chapters?

In the game i am trying to get the Skorm’s Bow and no one will follow me when i ask them too. My alignment is all the way to the good side and i dont know why they are scared of me.If any one knows how to get them to follow me please tell me.
