Why do they call it Baby's Breath?

Baby's breath is the name of a flower (or types of flower). All flowers have a meaning and baby's breath means innocence, because a baby's breathe is said to be the purest breath of all. The flowers are so called because of their light baby-like colours. In days of yore, the type of flower you were given had a meaning, such as red rose for love and devotion. Even today we ociate red roses with romance.
