World War II Zippo Question?

Don't know where you're getting your information, however the Ronson was the most commonly used lighter during World War Two by most Allied servicemen; the Zippo came about towards the end of the war as a cheap replacement for the Ronson. Dear old Uncle Sugar was alright about handing out gigs and matches, but he never issued lighters, the troops had to buy those out of pocket in their canteen stores and exchanges. The WWI Trench lighter was still available in hugh stocks...
