How to set my amp for louder b?

I have 2 JL 10w1s hooked up to my JL 1000.1 and i had it professionally installed and it had amazing b until i got my Focal speakers put in and he turned them down so i didnt blow the speakers or something. How do i tune the amp for a little more b. Like which knob and dont i turn it up all the way and stop when the b gets sloppy and thats when i know its is as high as it should go( when tuning)?
