Is this guy way to clingyy?

Hi i need some help here i have this bf and he couldnt believe that hes finally going out with me and i love him and all but there came a point were he just texts me every afternoon and i mean every afternoon from after school till i go to bed and if i dont reply he thinks im mad at him ffs he pisses me off then in the holidays when i wake up he texts me first thing in the morning and i have to reply or else hel think that i hate him and i have to text him the hole day non stop every day it has to be like that till i go to bed and i have to keep textn him till 3 in the morning then i tell him i wana have a rest then he thinks im upset with him then he says well can we text after an hour and if i say no he gets sad is this to clingy helllp?? and omg even at school i text himand when i dont reply he puts a sad face and he says why arent u replying baby ad he fckn knows why!!!!! what do i do is this way to clingy????
